# Road to Heaven Kutch: day trip logistics from a Dhordo tent base

Searches for **road to heaven kutch**, **road to heaven rann of kutch**, and **dhordo day trips** usually describe the straight drive across the salt — and leave the overnight base undecided. A boutique tent near Dhordo keeps the famous road as a day outing from one calm stay, rather than a hotel change mid-trip.

## What the Road to Heaven is in a stay plan

The Road to Heaven is the long, level stretch across the Rann landscape that travellers photograph at golden hour and after rain. It pairs naturally with White Rann walks and craft stops in Hodka and Nirona. The practical question is where you sleep before and after: a city hotel means a longer daily drive; a tent near Dhordo shortens the loop.

## Why start from Dhordo tents

Namak Resort sits on the Khavda–Dhordo Road near Dhordo in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat — close to the White Rann and within reach of the Road to Heaven as a same-day outing. There are 21 stays: ten Premium tents (392 sq ft), ten Super Premium tents (520 sq ft), and one Darbari Suite (1,200 sq ft). Premium and Super Premium include breakfast, hi-tea and dinner with a cultural programme, so the day trip can end at the same canvas without a second restaurant hunt. Rates are **per tent per night for two guests**, GST extra. ## A simple day shape from the tent

- Morning: leave after breakfast for the Road to Heaven and White Rann viewpoints when light and weather fit.
- Midday: optional craft stop in Hodka or Nirona (Rogan painting and lacquer craft are the usual draws).
- Evening: return for hi-tea, dinner and the cultural programme at the tent — no mid-trip hotel swap.

## Festival evenings on the same base

If Rann Utsav is also on the itinerary, keep it as an optional evening from the same tent rather than a second booking. Page: [Rann Utsav stay](https://namakrannofkutch.com/rann-utsav-stay).
