Hello, i'm trying to make a Passive Ethernet Tap. based on this diagram

tester accross, Host A and Host B, it comes back as working fine, but if i just plug a network cable thats connected
or NOT, 3 & 6 (green, white/green ethernet data) stops working If i plug it in the other Tap port, the Orange stops
working, 1 and 2 http://ash.cl.sevenl.net/Passive_Ethernet_Tap.jpg this is how i've wired it up, i have no idea whats
wrong. its like there isn't enough power, takes 'shortest path' which is a dead end, so that makes no sence. my
network tester isn't just being very anal about things, if i plug it in to a computer + switch/router it works fine,
until i plug a cable in to the Tap 1 or 2 port.
