During the course of the year, the majority of students strive to be recognized through academics and athletics. Most hope to leave high school knowing they have accomplished at least one extraordinary feature throughout high school, and usually wait until their senior year to pull off a memorable end-of-the-year prank. However, devising such an impressive prank is not as easy as it looks.
Seniors planning to prank the school may end up in the hands of Dr. O’Connor if they are not careful. Two seniors, who call themselves “The Double Trouble Clean Up Crew,” are absolutely against vandalizing the school.
The Double Trouble Clean Up Crew is a team of two female seniors whose sole desire is to aid the school. They are shocked at the number of students who choose to rebel against the rules and are dead against the rebellion.
“With tardy sweeps in the morning, wristbands at dances, and the keeping of seniors at school during [Star] testing that doesn’t apply to them, assisting administration in finding pranksters is our way of showing gratitude to the CHS faculty for dedicating themselves to our education,” the anonymous senior said.
Though the rules seem excessive to several seniors, the Crew believes that the rules were made to improve our academic environment. In order to prevent future vandalism, the Crew has affiliated themselves with “people on the inside.” With this source, the Crew hopes to capture many more rebellious teens.
“We have a top secret priority mission in which we meet with the disciplinary staff and discuss an undercover operation. The two of us dress up as rebels and run around Claremont, seeking the senior delinquents that deface our school and pride,” the senior said.
The Double Trouble Clean Up Crew was created mainly as a warning to mischievous teens. They believe they are “too mature for the nonsense of pranking,” and wish to catch as many pranksters as possible.
“We have no desire to ‘prank’ the staff,” the Crew said. “We would never T.P. cars, deface the staff’s property, put shaving cream on doors, or spray paint the grass hot pink! We don’t want our school to be ruined, because Claremont is just too wonderful.”
The Crew wishes to be an icon of self-discipline and obedience to all students. With CHS’s obvious compassion towards its students, it is surprising that any student would consider pulling a prank, though setting it up may be amusing and create lasting memories. The Crew wants to send a message to all potential senior prankers: “Watch your back and warn your friends, because the Double Trouble Clean Up Crew will turn you in.”
