Communism is a political ideology which is in stark contrast to capitalism. Communism could be considered as an extreme form of socialism, whereby public ownership abounds and all people are treated equally. The ideology originates from the writings of Karl Mark of Germany, especially from “The Communist Manifesto” where he urges proletarians (the working class) to rise against their bosses and employers. Utopian in nature, it has never reached its ideal state (where money does even exist for society to function).
