first drop nothing
second drop the same
third drop nothing
fourth drop still not living up to it's name
they're saying I should wait a while
that it won't be lame
so I say okay with a smile
few hours later I don't know what to think
the clock is melting while I have a drink
reaching out to the water feels unreal
I reach it but it took 12 minutes, least that's what I feel
look at the clock it must be lying
hasn't even been a minute, must be slowly dying
it's later now, even the clock agrees
the carpet looks like little trees
and I've got a grin from ear to ear
I'm glad the rainbow slug is here
if I look away I'm sure he'll go
that's just how rainbow slugs roll
later still something lacking
still feel happy but with no backing
the slug's been gone a while
but he hasn't deterred my smile
I've got new friends to meet
like the purple moth I forgot to greet
I said hello but he's being rude
he's running around in the nude
I do that too but after showers
he has no shame that's his super power
he'll go away like the slug soon
too many animals in this room
it's really late
and although it's been great
I've gotta say goodbye
and I'm not going to lie
I'd do it again
but I'll never call the slug or moth my friend
