i think the axxo phenomenon is funny. it is the ultimate in irony.
first, you have the sceners, who are pissed at axxo. for what? for taking 'their' stuff and giving it to p2p? so what? sceners dont care about p2p OR end users, so what does it matter to them? right?
(secret is, they DO care. a LOT. and when axxo looks so uber-cool to every p2p kid, while no one knows who 'DiAMOND' is, diamond gets pissy.)
then, to compound the irony, you have all the p2p fanboys. some of them, the REAL noobs, idolize axxo, and believe that he is the source for all things awesome.
but then you have the p2pers who know the score. they will pretend to hate axxo, out of some feigned loyalty to the scene that hates their very existence.
sweet, sweet irony!
(oh, this all makes a WHOLE lot more sense if you imagine that everyone involved is 14 years old, has no friends, and spends every waking moment on the computer wanting to feel cool.)
and that sir, is the sad truth of it all.
