I realise that you must have a lot on your plate at the moment, so I really hope the time you take to read this email and deal with it isn't cutting into some players' time and causing issues.
I'll be blunt and to the point, to save you having to sift through the junk I spew out. I'm not comfortable working in the Tremulous opping team, and I will tell you why.
For the last six months or so there have been multiple issues of contention between rebound and storma, and I've tried to remain neutral to this and do what is for the best of the players. Unfortunately rebound has a bad reputation in the community, seeming to stem from unpopular (but unbiased) decisions which of course raised the ire of the players. Storma is of course playing off the 'good guy' card and is doing it enviably well.
Recently, storma has been seeming to be siding with a particular griefer player named Gumbie which I'm sure you're probably sick of hearing about, so I'll log a job about this player later. I recently joined the same 'clan' as rebound plays in, and storma has been playing the community off against this clan for some time and so other members of the community have been claiming I'm unbiased, petty stuff really.
This was all acceptable and fair enough to deal with, until tonight. Tonight as I was bringing up issues of contention with storma he threatened to produce 'evidence' of me misbehaving in a server, which I do not recall at any time in an attempt to have me removed as a GameOp of Tremulous.
To be honest, I couldn't give two hoots for the tremulous community, but I really think they deserve someone better than Storma, whose character has only fully been revealed to me tonight.
As such, I was wondering if I could switch to another GameOp team, one in which I do have the time to play and do care about the community.
