All KDE DNS lookups fail. This is new in SP1 and the relevant KDE code has not
changed.
Happens on a dual core 32 bit thinkpad, but not on a 64 bit thinkpad.
Killing or restarting nscd doesn't help.

KDE uses threaded lookups, in case that is important.

Will attach a testcase that performs a simple KResolver lookup on ftp.suse.com

  void doLookup()
  {
     KNetwork::KResolver resolver;
     KNetwork::KResolverResults res = resolver.resolve("ftp.suse.com", "ftp");
     qDebug("Results error code: %i", res.error());
     qDebug("error string: %s", resolver.errorString().latin1());
     qDebug("ipv4: %s", res.front().address().toString().latin1());
  }
};

int main( int argc, char** argv)
{
  QApplication a(argc, argv);
  QPushButton lookup("Lookup ftp.suse.com:21", 0);
  TestObject to;
  QObject::connect( &lookup, SIGNAL(clicked()), &to, SLOT(doLookup()));
  lookup.show();
  return a.exec();
}

Petr: any hints?
