Given the fact that *standardization efforts, e.g. XPDL [WfMC05_] proposed by
the WfMC, have essentially failed to gain universal acceptance* [WA04_], the
*problem of developing a [workflow system] that supports
changes in the [workflow description language]* needs to be addressed.
