KEITH SAYS,

Oni sent me Sylphymn and it's a decent track! I noticed though that it clips a little bit throughout most of it. What sample sets and/or programs do you use to make most of your music, specifically with this track? And is it possible to export to a higher resolution than 44/16? Or will it not make a difference, given the original quality of your samples? If it's possible to export at a higher res, I'm interested in hearing that, in lossless audio as well. Thankya.

Oh, I'm also a fan of these two FF11 remixes of yours:

And am interested in higher quality versions there as well; I notice they have clipping, too.

PLAESKOOL SAYS,

Hmmm...
I know I lost a bunch of stuff (including a LOT of my audio projects) back in 2005 (when I was evidently too stupid to save this stuff externally and had a major power surge nuke my PC and 3 of my 4 HDDs). I'll have to go back and check what I did salvage, but yeah. If I can, I'll hook you up. The bits and pieces of the older FF stuff started out in pretty crappy quality, not sure if I can improve it too much, but I'm willing to give 'er a go.

Anyways, Most of the older stuff was all in ACID Pro 4. Now it's a mix of ACID Pro 6, Reason/Recycle, and Ableton Live. I'm still trying to hack CUBASE SX3 but haven't been overly successful in using it 100%.

About 30-40% of the samples I use are personally generated (whether from digital audio, recording from vinyl or whatever). That suplemented with about ~40GB of samples (from various sources online and off). I basically just horde the stuff. It's a mix of varying sound qualities, but I have sorted most of them out now.

Admittedly, It's been VERY difficult for me to teach myself how to master audio successfully due to some hearing loss. I didn't even really bother too much with it up until sometime last year. I really need to kick myself in the butt and learn how to really master this 'ish...and I'm very seriously considering professional training to do so.

Thanks a lot for the feedback...I could probably use more of it from audiophiles like yourself :3
