The next objective for managed languages IDE team is to dramatically improve the experience for writing code with refactoring features, features to support test driven development, and eliminate the barriers between dynamic and static languages. If you’re an ambitious, big picture thinker who’s also a very technical, compiler or languages expert with a passion for great user experiences and an affection for simplicity and pragmatic elegance, this is the job for you. We’re looking for someone with proven expertise in compilers and/or programming languages to help provide a better experience in programming. On the Managed Languages team you’ll interface with the cutting edge of compiler technology and developer productivity tools, regularly interface with passionate customers building real apps; all of this while you sharpen your technical chops on a to-the-metal piece of state-of-the-art compiler codebase.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a B.S. in Computer Science/Software Engineering and 3+ years of industry practice, with practical knowledge and proven experience in compiler architecture, database technology, and Microsoft .NET Framework usage; with excellent design, communication, and collaboration skills to boot.
