Adobe Flash should not be used on any Novell sites, and certainly not on something like the login, used by tens of thousands of open source contributors. It's downright insulting.
There are numerous technical issues with it - being slow and resource heavy mainly. But also not being available for Linux x86_64 and Linux PPC - architectures for which Novell ship operating systems. Noone knows when Adobe will deliver an update that will break everything in various browsers and decrease performance further, which is exactly what happened not long ago. http://www.kdedevelopers.org/node/3162
Then there are the ethical issues of the Adobe Flash plugin being proprietary under a very restrictive EULA. Not being an open standard etc.
Thirdly, I don't believe Flash development tools are available on Linux - therefore using Flash on the sites sends the message that Novell is not eating it's own dogfood.
