The Fletcher High School Mock Trial Team will represent the 4th judicial at the State Mock Trial Championship from April 10, 2008 through April 12, 2008 in Orlando. Fletcher has represented the 4th Judicial Circuit at the state level for sixteen years. Last year we came in third place, and hope to do even better this year.
Unfortunately, we have not received the necessary funds to compete in Orlando. As you can imagine, the costs for hotel rooms, rental vans, gas, food, etc, have increased dramatically in recent years requiring us to raise significantly more money than in years past. At this point we are roughly $2,500 shy of what we will need.
We have hosted several large fundraisers at Fletcher High School, including an enormously successful Battle of the Bands. However, we still must rely on the financial support from attorneys in the Jacksonville area. Without your genous contributions, our students would not be able to participate in this valuable educational experience. Your donations will help defray the cost of what has become a rewarding, yet expensive annual event. Checks should be made payable to the Fletcher Law Club. We are hoping to receive all donations by Thursday, March 27, 2006. The week immediately following is Spring Break, and we need to have all donations by then.
