1. The website will sell all types of books.
3. The software must be portable and easily upgradeable, with the option to fully backup everything and to transfer from server to server:
- Automatic backup feature must be available
- Ease of portability is essential
2. The software and design provided should feature a search function which allows visitors to find the book products quickly, and which allows me to update product with prices, descriptions (with pictures of book covers) and other info in a user-friendly way:
- Search by title
- Search by isbn
- Search by subject
- Link search results (the isbn or title selected) to the price
- Link search results to cart
3. There must be a flexible pricing system, whereby discounts can be made:
- Must be able to set storewide discounts
- New discount prices must be reflected (e.g. old price can still be seen, but cancelled out, with new price displayed in bold/red/etc.)
4. Visitors should also be able to calculate the shipping cost using information that we have put in including calculate sales tax, all of which must be listed on the calculation of costs page (e.g. add sales tax, new price: $__ )
5. I should be able to provide coupons to customers that they can use on the site.
6. Customers must be able to pay by credit card and/or print out an invoice from the system.
7. Customers must be able to select form of shipment (different types of shipment have different prices)
8. Website design must be fresh, neat, user-friendly, professional, and easily editable
9. Admin backpanel must be well developed and organized to include a record of orders, purchases, total revenue etc. ( this includes control panel for managing book lists (or other lists should I choose to sell other things)
