*
*
* I Introduction
*
* Cybernet (the network) provides its services to you (the user) under the
* following terms and conditions. Failure to comply with the terms of this
* acceptable usage policy (AUP) will have consequence. Connecting to any
* server on this network and the use of its services is a privilege not a
* right. The network staff has the right to refuse service to anyone for
* any reason.
*
* II General Rules
*
* Users may not engage in any illegal activity as it is defined under the
* laws of the United States of America, we don't want our ISP to get all
* angry at us and disconnect our Internet now do we. In addition users may
* not engage in any behavior that would harm the server. In other words no
* denial of service attacks CTCP flooding etc. As the servers linked to
* the network run on a variety of different hardware platforms and
* operating systems it is at the server administrators discretion to
* determine what is harmful to his or her server check the MOTD of the
* server to which you are connecting for server specific rules.
*
* III Services
* Cybernet provides a number of services to its users such as a nickname
* registration service (NickServ), a channel registration and management
* service (ChanServ) and many others. The following are guidelines for
* their use. No more than three (3) registered nicknames and five
* registered channels are permitted. If you require more than that email
* cybermatt18@gmail.com and explain your situation. At your option you may
* choose to submit an e-mail address with your nickname registration for
* the purpose of recovering lost passwords, we do not share this
* information with anyone, if you choose not to submit and e-mail address
* network staff may not help you in the event that you lose your password.
* Use of MemoServ to send unsolicited advertising (spam) is strictly
* forbidden and will be punished severely. As a final note all nicknames
* and channels are registered for a term of one year after which you must
* register again. Do not use /ns GHOST command unless you own the nick
* being GHOSTED
*
*
* IV Autonomy of Registered Channels
*
* Once a channel is registered with ChanServ the person who registered it
* is considered the absolute authority to his or her channel. Therefore
* network staff will not interfere with the affairs of any channel. In
* addition using any means to circumvent a channel ban is not permitted
* and will be punishable by network staff. The only time network staff may
* step in and control in channel is in protection of the server in the
* absence of the founder.
*
* V. Bot Policy
*
* For the purposes of this section a bot is defined as any program that
* connects to the server that is not under the direct control of a user at
* all times. Bots must obey all rules set forth above and use the +B user
* mode. A Bot may be deoped in a channel or disconnected from the server
* by network staff at any time for any reason, however network staff will
* generally not exercise its right except in case of a poorly configured
* or malfunctioning bot.
*
* VI. File Transfers
* Keep them 1MB or under to save bandwidth for other users
*
*
* VII Changes in These Rules
*
* Network staff may change these rules at any time you will generally be
* notified by Global message upon connecting to the server latest occurs.
* However it is always a good idea to check the /rules command from time
* to time..
