2008. Les candidats retenus participeront au projet PACE (Pairings and
Advances in Cryptology for E-cash) financé par l'ANR (Agence Nationale
Laguillaumie (fabien.laguillaumie@info.unicaen.fr).

Applications are invited for 2 one-year post-doctoral positions in
pairing-based cryptography starting on or around October 1st 2008.
Successful applicants will participate in the project PACE (Pairings and
Advances in Cryptology for E-cash) financed by the French governemental
research funding agency ANR (Agence Nationale de la Recherche) and will
be members of one of the research teams in the mathematics (LMNO) or
Computer Science (GREYC) laboratories of the University of Caen, France.
One of the successful candidates will be expected to work on the
study of pairing-friendly curves and therefore should have a very
strong background in relevant number theory and algebraic geometry.
The other successful candidate will work on the conception of
cryptographic primitives suitable for e-cash and is expected to have a
high quality potential in theoretical cryptography.
The partners involved in the project are the crypto teams of the LIENS,
of the LIX, of the University of Caen, Cryptolog International, Gemalto,
NXP and Orange Labs.
Candidates must hold a PhD thesis or equivalent in mathematics or
computer science, together with a strong research record.
Applications and requests for further information should be directed to
John Boxall (john.boxall@math.unicaen.fr) or Fabien Laguillaumie
(fabien.laguillaumie@info.unicaen.fr).
Applicants should send a detailed curriculum vitae, list of
publications, and arrange for letters of recommandation to arrive not
later than 15 May 2008.
