Mr. Manager: “Satomi, where is everyone?”
Satomi: “Probably still at lunch, Mr. Manager.”
ERSTWHILE ATTENDANT: (Sits around looking smug.)
Mr. Manager: “Could you call them and ask them to come in?”
Satomi: (Taking out her cellphone.) “All right.”
Satomi: (Lowering the phone.) “Chloe says she’s coming to kick you in the balls.”
Mr. Manager: “Let me talk to her.”
[Cut to Chloe, Gorou and Alphonse at a bar.]
Chloe: “Mr. Manager, three months putting up with the guy’s bitch ass was plenty. What’s, like, one afternoon more or less?”
Alphonse: “Tell him we already ordered the margaritas.”
[Cut back to Mr. Manager.]
Mr. Manager: “I don’t care how much you disliked him or how tanked you are, ERSTWHILE ATTENDANT is a co-worker of yours and deserves to be sent off respectably.”
Mr. Manager: “Well, if you embarrass yourself out of drunkenness, it’s not my problem, is it? I’ll expect you in ten, Chloe.”
[Time passes. The characters are now gathered in the office, displaying varying degrees of reluctance.]
Mr. Manager: “Satomi, you worked with ERSTWHILE ATTENDANT the closest. Why don’t you give a little commemorative speech?”
Satomi: “Me? Well, okay…”
Satomi: “If there’s one thing to be said about ERSTWHILE ATTENDANT, it’s… umm…”
Mr. Manager: *Ahem*
Satomi: “It’s that he was very… precise. He would always make sure he was clear what was expected of him. …By asking me repeatedly what he was supposed to—“
Mr. Manager: *Cough*
Satomi: “Uh, but no one could deny his dedication…”
Mr. Manager: *Hack*
Satomi: “Hey! I wasn’t drifting!”
Mr. Manager: “Sorry, allergies.”
