Subject: Hoodies and elections and oh my!

Dear all,

Greetings once again from your friendly society executive! As you may have guessed from the subject of this email, our time as the overseers of the Computer Science Society is drawing to a close (for those of us that aren't standing to be re-elected!). Before we leave however there are two points to bring to your attention:

1. Hoodies (Order deadline: Thursday 13th)
2. Elections (1300, Tuesday 11th, 1.11 MVB (TBC))

Hoodies

Yes that's right, soon you will be, if you so desire (and you should!), the proud owner of a University of Bristol Computer Science hoodie! We will be emailing round the designs shortly for your viewing pleasure, and from this Thursday (the 6th) until next Thursday (the 13th) inclusive society representatives will be available in the MVB foyer to take your order. They will be £17, or £18 if you want them personalised with your name across the back, and we need your order by no later than Thursday the 13th if you want one!

Elections

All of us here in executive HQ (i.e. the meeting room, MVB - no fancy glass office yet :( ) have thoroughly enjoyed our time organising events for the society, and trust me, there's a lot on the horizon! To continue our plans and schemes when we are gone we will need a new executive of high calibre dedicated people, which is where you fit in.

Our plans include a streamlined, smaller committee to increase efficiency so there won't be as many positions going as there were last time, and some of us will be standing to be re-elected - but remember that all positions are open to anyone! We will be releasing a list of positions soon, and if you think you could contribute, then stand.

Even if you aren't interested in standing for a position, you will still want to attend the Annual General Meeting when the elections are going to take place, so you can vote in those you believe represent your interests - as the British democracy system has shown, high voter turnout is crucial!

The AGM will be at 1300 on Tuesday 11th, and is pencilled in to be in 1.11 in the Merchant Venturer's Building.

We hope to see you there!

Your Vice-President,

James Sanderson
