Ok, problem solved. The latest archlinux package of the nvidia drivers doesn't include the opengl header, and openarena is looking for this during compilation, so i've extract them from the nvidia .run and put a temporary symlink. Hope this help :)
Errors lines from the previous post are not good, I've forgot to scroll up sorry :( the first error is "gl.h file not found"

I think there might be an error in the package, as it doesnt seem to copy over the pk3 files to the appropriate directory. This is what happened to me, and I had to manually unzip and copy the files.
