Question: how do I get a removable disk (a firewire HDD to be exact) to mount at startup? fstab doesn't work as it runs before the firewire driver initulizes. I thought about writing a simple mount script to use at startup, so would it be wise to use init to run the script? I've been reading thru the documentation* and it says to put non-init startup scripts in /etc/rc.boot/, but this directory doesn't exist. When I create /etc/rc.boot/ any scripts in it are ignored, (I think you have to add something to /etc/inittab to make it work) so it doesn't solve my problem. Any ideas?
