This issue arose from someone finding a backdoor through an older version of a content management system I was using. I deleted the installation and removed the scripts that were making these requests. This just serves as a lesson to stay current with all version updates and closely watch the activity on my server.
Thank you very much for pointing this issue out to me and informing me of the situation. Feel free to contact the company who contacted you and tell them the unscrupulous marketer has been dealt with (at least from my server).
