(Blackness again)
Baron: Wait a minute. You mean this same castle at the bottom of this mountain?
Shroud: That castle is the whole reason we’re hearing this story, so I would assume it’s the same one.
Baron: But how could somebody start a knighthood in a backwater place like this?
Laurel: It wasn’t always an island, Baron.
Stoic: She’s right. This all happened before the Rain of Fire. This island was once part of the same continent that includes Harrol and Nillen Valley.
Baron: Oh….wow, the Rain of Fire. I hadn’t thought of that. What was that like?
Stoic: That’s not exactly relevant to the story I’m telling now.
Baron: But I wanna know!
Shroud: Let’s at least hear this stuff in order. Would you stop in the middle of a book and go to the last page?
Stoic: It’s not nearly the last page in my book.
Shroud: I guess not…but you know, it was a metaphor.
Laurel: What happened when you got back to the castle, Stoic?
(scene fades in)
Stoic: Well…before that, we stopped by a nearby river. Daphne gave me some more information on how this whole thing had gotten started.
