"1- What are Finland latest achievements? What are the differences between Finland and the average eRepublic country?"

In practice we have fully conquered the unemployment. Thanks for the hospital project that gives free hospitals for the country and a work place for the unemployed workers. Everyone who wants to join the project is welcome, so the theoretical unemployment rate is 0%. There is some new people that haven't even posted their CV, so in reality the rate is a little more than 0..

Secondly, FIM(our currency) is one of the most valuable ones. One GOLD is worth of about 10-12 FIM. That gives us some great advantages.

"2- What are your country goals for the next weeks and for the next months?"

The hospital project is now started and running, so we are waiting for the first hospital. It's currently a little over 50% done.

Also, our industry is now evolving very fast and we hope that it will make our country even better. The first exports from Finland have just started.

"3- Do you want immigrants? What skills (if any) are sought most?"

Of course we want immigrants! The skills doesn't really matter.. Since our population is quite small(102 ppl today), we need more citizens. It doesn't matter are they immigrants or new Finns.

"4- I have noticed that your newspaper, "The Future of Finland", is in English. Do Finland citizens usually speak with the government in English?"

Yes, we use English almost everywhere, so also non-Finnish people understands it. But most of the citizens in Finland could also use Finnish. Of course there is some Finnish(and Swedish) publications.

"5- Your import taxes set to 99%. Are you planning to follow a protectionist policy? How would you define your commercial relations with the rest of the world?"

We have our own great industry in every domain, but it's still quite young, so foreign imports could make some harm to it. But 99% import tax isn't so high if you think again. It's not like that the country would get 99% of any import purchase. It really takes only 49.5% from the price of the product, because it's additional, indirect tax(like VAT), not direct tax(like income).

There are some importers from e.g. Turkey, Belgium and Netherlands. Thats the importers we need to add some competition, but we don't need more, so it wont cause any harm to our economy. It's possible that we decrease the tax later on..

"6- Are there any countries you have a especially good relationship? Are there military or diplomatic tensions with any country?"

We are part of the Northern Alliance. It's possible that we make some economical contracts with the other members, but it's especially a military union. It guarantees the safety of Finland.

"7- And to conclude this interview, I would like to know what are your thoughts about the future of eRepublik? Do you think we will see the first war soon? Will eRepublik keep on being a economic/social simulator?"

Erepublik is a very good game and it has lots of potential to keep rising. The developers have promised the war engine coming in march, maybe in the end of it. When the war engine is released, there will some wars.
