<dalton_voss> temp_file_exists()
take a look
it returns true on count=1 and never goes through the rest of it
<Zibri> ..
are you crazy or what ?
ziphone -C
executes that and works perfectly
<dalton_voss> line 345, temp_file_exists
the MD5 check is useless
<Zibri> no time now
but thanks for pointing out
take care
<dalton_voss> seriously, that could brick a phone
fyi, a dev team guy pointed it out, I just don't want any phones bricked
<Zibri> please.
stop saying bullshits
ok ?
go to dev team
<dalton_voss> dude, look at the code?
<Zibri> namaste
<dalton_voss> it returns true on ONE BYTE
<Zibri> yep
get the latest code
it's on svn
and dev team are STUPID
go to www.ziphone.org
click on download
<dalton_voss> I gotta disagree with that
<Zibri> at the bottom of the page there is SOURCE
click there
<dalton_voss> OK
<Zibri> bye
sorry
i'm in a rush
<dalton_voss> it's still broken
temp_file_exists
check it, you need to use a bool flag
http://code.google.com/p/iphone-elite/source/browse/trunk/ZiPhone/ziphone.cpp
<Zibri> lol i know the url
<dalton_voss> yeah
so look at bool temp_file_exists
and then look inside the for (count=0; count < 16 loop
and look at how it will always return on the first cycle of the loop
<Zibri> no time now.. really.. write here what you THINK it's the problem
THERE is no problem if a ramdisk is wrong.
<dalton_voss> the problem is that the MD5 check will only ever check on count=0 and then it returns
<Zibri> people have to get the archive from my site anyways
and almost everyone (dev team included) downloaded it.
<dalton_voss> look at the code!! you should just take out the damn for loop and set count=0 b eforehand, it'll do the same thing
<Zibri> and used it.
<dalton_voss> well the dev team just pointed that out to me, line 378 is your problem
<Zibri> uh
right
ok
but it's not a real one
<dalton_voss> did you not write this code? is this why you can't understand what I'm saying?
<Zibri> THANKS for pointing out
i am not angry at you at all
<dalton_voss> dude, look at line 378, it will return true on count=0 and not iterate
<Zibri> i can
<dalton_voss> good, I'm not worried about people getting angry, I'm worried about a bad ramdisk brickin' a phone
<Zibri> after the first round the variable is still 17
i know
no risk to brick a phone
ramdisk does it all
<dalton_voss> return true; <--- that exits the function on count=0
<Zibri> ziphone is like iphuc
yep
already corrected
a typo :)
now a question
<dalton_voss> it's still broken on code.google.com
<Zibri> do you want to help here or prefer hackint0sh ?
<dalton_voss> well, I don't really see your site sticking around, Apple is going to patch the ziPhone exploit in 1.1.4/1.2 and then you're not gonna be able to do anything with ziPhone
so really the future is hackint0sh, even though now might be on ziPhone
<Zibri> ok.. then bye
<dalton_voss> bye! please correct that code
