Hey Steven,

Just wanted to let you know that we are moving forward with our plans to
have 2 ChicagoCon events a year with the next one in the spring. The dates
are set at May 12 - 18, 2008 at the same location. We are also changing the
format a bit to meet the request that you and others had made. So we are
going to traditional route of separating the training and the presentations.
I still like the format we used last time, but when you don't pack the
house, it doesn't work. This time the presentations will run from Fri
afternoon and go all day Saturday. We will also have breakout sessions in
the classrooms that are not being used on Saturday. It will be $100 at the
door but slightly different from DefCon as we will have a registration
before the event. We don't have unlimited space as they do, but the $100
will get you access to all presentations, bag lunch and the breakout
sessions.

So how about this as an idea to help promote your efforts and to say thanks
for supporting us last time. Did you want a classroom for the entire day on
Saturday to offer free sessions similar to what you normally do at the
Chicago 2600 meetings? Interested in running the hacking contests Fri and
Sat evenings? How about a 1 hour speaking slot as well?

Registration for the courses will go live this week with a modest media
blitz starting next week. So if you could let me know ASAP, that would allow
you to get some extra exposure.

FYI - So far 4 of 5 keynote slots have been filled with the likes of
EC-Council, the FBI, Neohapsis Labs and Tiger Team (from TruTV) member Luke
McOmie.

All the best,
Don
