Bear with me I've never dealt with wireless setup before so this is my first time.
this is all i did after plug in the card. i have not /etc/resolv.conf file on this laptop either.
#ifconfig -m rum0 11g

# ifconfig -a
lo0: flags=8049<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 33192
        inet 127.0.0.1 netmask 0xff000000
        inet6 ::1 prefixlen 128
        inet6 fe80::1%lo0 prefixlent 64 scopeid 0x1
rum0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULICAST> mtu 1500
         ssid linksys
         powersave off
         bssid 00:1d:7e:a0:15:1b chan 6
         address 00:1e:e5:1e:e6:36
         media: IEEE802.11 autoselet (OFDM24 mode 11g)
         status: active
         inet 0.0.0.0 netmask 0xff000000 broadcast 255.255.255.255
         inet6 fe80::21e:e5ff:fe1e:e636%rum0 prefixlen 64 scopid 0x2

so since, this Linksys WUSB54G rev. C is shown as active should i be able to ping my AP.
NetBSD-4.0 GERENIC LAPTOP kernel, i was following NetBSD's wavelan guide so i believe wiconfig is no later needed.
what are the other step to get this to work with my AP since it's set in default mode (open system) no WEP enabled.
Could someone point me in the right dirction on setting this up.
