An Indian man arrives in Britain ready to live here. Pleased that he has arrived safely he knows he must go to the foreign exchange office.
He asks the man at the desk, “excuse me I have arrived in you beautiful country and I’m wishing to exchange my rupees for some beautiful English pound coins”
The clerk takes his 2000 rupees and exchanges them for £500
The Indian says, “thank you very much” and walks off to his new home.
A few weeks later his brother arrives and goes to the foreign exchange office. The same clerk is at the desk. The brother tells the clerk “I have arrived in you beautiful country and I’m wishing to exchange my rupees for some beautiful English pound coins”
So the clerk exchanges his 2000 rupees for £300. Take back by this the brother asks the clerk “excuse me but there appears to be less money here. My brother arrived a few weeks ago and exchanged 2000 rupees and for £500, I appear to have only £300.”
The clerk, replies to him in a very kind manner, “it’s the fluctuations sir.”
Brother “well fluct you too, but there’s no need to be rude about it”
