(15:46:19) sasha: I'd say compiz seems to be rather dumb
(15:47:36) Ecolinux hat den Raum verlassen (quit: "AddToFunc ExitFunction I Exec exec sudo halt").
(15:47:39) maniac103: aha ... any why?
(15:47:43) maniac103: s/any/and
(15:47:44) Ecolinux [n=Ecolinux@clu74-1-82-246-101-27.fbx.proxad.net] hat den Raum betreten.
(15:47:54) sasha: really it is upto the urxvt weather it wants to delete all the properties on its windows or not, window managers are supposed to be able to work around that and have sensible defaults/ways oif handling such cases
(15:48:08) Ecolinux hat den Raum verlassen (quit: Client Quit).
(15:48:47) maniac103: sasha: so you're saying randomly deleting properties is a _meaningful_ behaviour?
(15:48:58) maniac103: I'm not saying it's forbidden, it just doesn't make sense
(15:49:06) sasha: it is reasonable behaviour
(15:49:25) sasha: well, tabbed extention doesnot make sense either
(15:50:00) sasha: tabbing of client windows should only be done by window manager
(15:50:09) maniac103: why is deleting information other clients have about a window reasonable behaviour?
(15:50:19) maniac103: and BTW, compiz _can_ tab multiple client windows ;-)
(15:50:36) sasha: becouse client OWNS the window, and therefore is free to do anything it wants to
(15:51:22) sasha: other clients should not expect properties set on other windows to persist
(15:51:23) maniac103: just because I own 100$, it's not meaningful to throw them out of the window
(15:51:29) Ecolinux [n=Ecolinux@clu74-1-82-246-101-27.fbx.proxad.net] hat den Raum betreten.
(15:51:38) maniac103: not forbidden != meaningful
(15:52:44) maniac103: after all, urxvt seems to be the only client (one one of a very, very small set of clients) that does that kind of stuff
(15:53:38) sasha: yeah, like I said, tabbed extention is a rather wierd thing in itself
