=== Ticket Body ===

I did not want to open a ticket to this but i must

heres the situation

ok so here it is, when we moved to site5 we were told we would have "absolute freedom" when it came to joomla (our previous host limited EVERYTHING)

with that said this is what we want to do

we use the "joomlacloner and joomlapack" components to backup and clone our site

on the local end using joomlacloner this is the procedure

1. backup the site
2. backup the DB
3. start the clone process by giving it the destination details
4. after joomla cloner generates its joomla.cloner.php it points you to the website LIVE site (Which would be site5) for the restore script

I want to tell everyone that in the fantasy land this works, however in reality land using site5 it DOES NOT, we get our 500 error when we try to view the joomla.cloner.php, and in fact we have confirmed it is on the server, properly in the right directory

OK THE NIGHTMARE CONTINUES WITH

so we try joomlapack (thinking of using the alternative)

while joomlapack wont "Clone" a site it will allow you to move them

1. on local server we pack the db and the site
2. we take the zipped copy of the site and upload it to our LIVE SITE
3. we then are supposed to (remember this is in a perfect world) be able to run the install and the site will unpack and all will be right with the world.

NONE OF THIS WORKS WITH SITE5, we either get 500 errors, or 404 errors when trying to do all this, we even uploaded a BLANK COPY OF JOOMLA, then we installed it, then we DUMPED THE db, and reimported the dump from the local site, this also failed

to give you an idea you can visit

http://www.zteknologies.com/test/Joomla.Cloner.php

as you can see there is nothing there, however if you look in /home/public_html/test

you will see that there is INDEED FILES there

i have included a screenshot for reference of what SHOULD BE showing up if site5 was running the way a host should be

never mind i couldnt get one since your site isnt even allowing me to generate the page

but as you can PLAINLY see by looking in the folder i specified, both the script to restore AND the backup is in there

thoughts and ideas?
