The other day I was cruisin’ in southern Georgia on a open road in the middle of a blazin’ hot day. I was ridin’ in my 77’ camero when a seen a feller in chevelle go flyin’ by. I said to maself, “Heck this feller’s gunna be in for the ride of his life!” as I pressed my foot print gas pedal ta the floor. We was reachin’ near one hundred miles an hour in a couple a seconds. This feller was fast but it ain’t nothin’ my big block can’t handle. I’m darn sure my camero could outrun a bullet an’ get up ta three hundred miles an hour. It was right round’ one hundred twenty or so miles an hour I seen the lights in my rear view mirror. I said to myself, “Shoot! This bugger’s comin’ on me fast, I can’t get away.” So I pulled over and waited for the cop in the five hundred degree heat. He came up ta my window and said, “Son, do ya know how fast you was goin’?” I said, “Offica’, I’m pretty sure it was under sixty miles an hour.” The offica’ chuckled at me and recited, “Son I got you clocked in here at over one hundred miles an hour! There’s no cotton-pickin’ way you was goin’ sixty! Why you sweatin’ so bad boy? Guilty conscious?” Remainin’ as calm as the cool night I told this feller with a smirk on my face. “With all do respect, its gotta’ be over one hundred degrees out here offica’ you’re sweatin’ like you was the one being interrogated!” The offica’ took his dark sunglasses off, looked me square in tha eye and said words I neva’ thought I’d here him say. He said, “Why don’t ya let that lil’ car of yours do the talkin’. We can settle this on the road like real men.” To my surprise, I was rather intimidated by this remark. I neva’ thought no crown vic’ could keep up with me, but this one seemed to have a prowess to it. As if it were the Queen of all the others. He pulled up ta me so we was neck n’ neck. He told me we’ll go from a dead stop down the fifty meter stretch, winner take all. We both sped off neck n’ neck. I eventually gained a few lengths on him and regained my confident, one might say arr’gant attitude back. I done looked in my rear view mirror to see the offica’ wasn’t even in sight! I thought to maself, “Boy oh boy! He prolly’ don’t even know what hit him!” As I looked back in front of me, my facial expression changed from victorious to petrified. I had won the battle, but lost the war, fore there were round’ five hundred police vehicles waitin’ for me! I never thought I’d be outsmarted by a cop, but then again, I never did get no education.
