Hi
I'm the head of technology for a radio group in the UK so I'm fully aware of
what a phishing site is; but thank you for updating me. Further, I am aware
of IT legislation surrounding the responsibility for these malicious sites;
but, again, thank you for your concern for my education.
Again, you appear to be laying the blame with us - we do keep all our
equipment updated with the latest security patches. As you well know,
however, that's not always enough to keep on top of these threats. The site
also has a properly configured firewall.
Keep that up and you'll find yourself with a bulk request for MAC codes.
The proper thing for you to have done would have been to suspend the line,
call us immediately and liase with one of our engineers directly. This
offhand delivery of pompous reports does nothing for your customer service
image.
We'll call shortly to arrange temporary access.
Kind regards
Ken

Hi,
Your account has been suspended because we have detected a phishing site
installed on your webserver. A phishing site is a website, usually designed
in the same way as a banks webpage, designed to harvest login details, user
accounts etc. The one installed on your webserver appears to be one for
Banca di Roma, the Italian bank.
This was probably installed maliciously, and without your consent, but as it
is on your equipment, it is your responsibility. You should keep all your
servers patched with the relevant latest security updates.
If you call us, we will un suspend the account temporarily while you are on
the phone, so you can remove the site. Because of the severity of this, we
would have had to insist you stayed on the phone with us while it is being
removed.
If you have any further problems, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Regards
Dave Bell
