Subject description: Awww, how cute!
Happy Birthday Di-Tron Heavy Industries!
As your reading this post we have hit our 1 year as a corp. On January 23rd, 2006 was when Di-Tron formed, we have old members, we have new members, we have returning members and we have some on 'vacations'. For the most part we have somewhere in the area of less then 4% of the people that join Di-Tron ever leave. We're starting to hit the stage in our life span as a corp when we are becoming more of a family then a bunch of ppl that play games together.
Story time: When we formed it wasn't out of the desire to form a corp to go to 0.0. Infact I'll bet most of our members didn't know what 0.0 was at the time.
For about 2 or 3 months before we formed, I had been in the CAS starter corp. Being the talker I am, I found out that 'mining ops' were the way to get the most ore, the quickest, and in turn, to make the most ISK the quickest.
Realizing this, I started to find other people in CAS that could show me how this worked the best. The guy who taught me the ropes happened to be Arch Staranger (One of Carn's good friends till this very day) I came out with my itty 2, and he mined out a belt in gnesis with a vexor and I think Brutix. I hauled all the ore to the station, traded it over to him at the end and he gave me a 3rd of the haul as my 'cut'.
I thought this was pretty cool, so I started finding others that wanted to do so and we started doing the 'ops' where I'd tell ppl 'tommorow I'm going to have a mining op at such and such a time, at such and such a system. You have almost a day to get your ships there and everyone gets an equal cut, miner, hauler or guard, doesn't matter everyone will be treated equally.
Next thing you know it's 2 months later and we have gangs of 18 to 30 ppl forming to strip belts in a 0.4 system in Everyshore. We'd mine omber and Jaspet till our eyes would bleet looking at the screen, then I'd refine it all, haul it all to ours and pay everyone out over the next 2 or 3 days. I kept very EXACT figures since I knew ppl would be watching to see if I 'skimmed' after almost 3 months of this, we had our own channel outside of CAS where we met, talked, and planned. Pretty soon ppl were starting to get the idea that we should form a corp, and that since I managed all the ops, and brought everyone together and kept bringing new people into it. That I should be CEO.
That was when Duana, Lady V, S3, and I really began setting everything up. Next thing you know, we have a corp formed, and on our first day we reach 23 members joining all at once. We setup some pretty kick ass forums, got the word out, and began looking for a home.
(begins to make this ALOT more brief)
Month 1.
We decide Gnesis is a better spot to live in then everyshore because of the ability to get Nocxium from Pyroexers and Mexallon as well as Isogen from Kernite. The region also looked pretty barren. We decided to move in.
We run afoul of "Gods Unwanted Children" a pirate corp that made no bones about who they killed in low sec. As we gear up and prepare a response, GUC goes out to 0.0 and leaves low sec to us.
We begin exploiting 0.4 in more and more operations and ratting activities, all is pretty good.
We start laying down the corp idea of 100% free ammo. Other policies begin to form.
We run into RHNVY. A 63 member pirate corp that attacks EVERYONE in low sec. Reguardless of corp, activity or peace offer. Attacks between both sides are common.
Di-Tron begins heavily investing in BPO's and begins strip mining Habu and surrounding systems on a regular basis. Corp buyouts of minerals begin in earnest to fund these efforts.
We make 'friends' in the area but keep a somewhat low profile as we still learn the game and begin to get into better ships, with deadlier skills.
We reach 29 members.
Month 2.
The decision is made, POS's and moon mining seem like a really good way to make money. We decide to gather the funds to buyout a large amount of POS's.
The corp does it's first 'donation drive' trying to raise 2 billion ISK in 30 days. While most ppl are in retrievers, itty 3's, and battlecruisers are considered 'top of the line' ships.
We reach 44 members.
Month 3.
We gather the funds for the 'POS donation fund' by the skin of our teeth.
We haul over 24 loads of POS from deep in amarr space, over 30+ jumps each way to bring all the POS gear to habu.
We make contact with an alliance called Intergaltic Corporate Alliance.
The ICA becomes our first alliance, being an empire alliance we begin working with the alliance.
The first merger in Di-Tron history takes place and the alliance president joins Di-Tron with his corp.
We reach 52 members.
Month 4.
After being declared ICA head diplomat, I bring 3 other corps into ICA. Brining it's member ship up to just under 200 members.
Di-Tron begins butting heads with RHNVY on a regular basis, the matches are a different story as most of our pilots begin to field battleships, interceptors, assault frigates and battlecruisers with the apporiate skills.
The entire ICA begins to fight RHNVY unoffically, looking out for 'smaller' corps and in general trying to be 'anti-pirate'
RHNVY after taking a few losses of their leaderships personal ships declares war on the entire ICA alliance.
We reach 60 members.
Month 5.
The war ends. Di-Tron, Pezco, and another corp (which escapes me at the moment) bear the brunt of the war. RHNVY lets it's war dec expire.
The alliance president hearing rumors of corps leaving the ICA, goes through the ranks and kicks out 50% of the corps. This signels the death knell for the ICA.
Di-Tron continues operations as usual in gnesis, setting up and mantaining a large POS.
The alliance leader, decides to move on. He turns the alliance over to Di-Tron.
Pezco leaves the alliance and goes back to calderi space. The other main corp suffers an internal division and their CEO has to leave the game. They disband and leave the ICA.
Di-Tron is now the primary corp in ICA, with only a few other corps.
AQSI is contacted, friendly relations ensue, a merger agreement is reached and AQSI decides to join Di-Tron whole scale.
Crest-tech a 12 man corp that has been harassing AQSI, declares war on the ICA not knowing about the merger.
Di-Tron and AQSI pilots slaughter the Crest Tech pilots. A high point of the war is on the last day, a pack of miners gets together and destroys the Crest Tech's CEO's battleship.
We reach 92 members.
Month 6.
The merger is a good time for both corps. Other pilots from AQSI come in over the following weeks.
The war with RHNVY reoccurs. It is mostly a stalemate and both sides keep the fighting smack free.
The war with RHNVY doesn't enter a second week.
The corp for the first time since it's inception has a lvl of peace. This lasts 1 week.
An offer to go to 0.0 comes from a former DTHI pilot who has moved on. This offer is accepted.
The corp decides to move down to the INSMOTHER region, and join Knights of the Southerncross.
We reach 101 members.
Month 7.
Di-Tron moves to 0.0 almost flawlessly. A full freighter full of POS's, ammo and items is jumped down. Along with almost 60% of our membership.
Compared to Di-Tron, The KOS alliance is a joke. There is no order, and it's mostly everyone for themselves.
Di-Tron makes friends with Origin systems at this time. We deploy our 4 large POS's all at once in a system 8 jumps from the nearest station and deeply in the 'backfield' of INSMOTHER.
The war with Red Alliance breaks out, Di-Tron helps 'hold the line' by anchoring one of our four large towers in the outpost system. It is armed to the teeth and helps stop the RA invasion.
We begin playing around with and living out of the 4 POS's in 25-HP0. We spend more time mining Ice then mining Ark or Bistot.
We reach 109 members.
Month 8.
Everything begins to go to hell in a handbasket. RA allies with Goonswarm and invades INSMOTHER region En Mass the nearby outpost system, the only one KOS has left in the region falls after a 300 member invasion fleet begins swarming the system. Our POS is put into reinforced mode in less then an hour.
KOS loses the outpost. The 'pull back' order is given, INSMOTHER is to be abandoned. This screws every corp in INSMOTHER to the wall. Many of them lose billions.
Di-Tron has to practically beg carrier pilots to help jump the corps assets out of INSMOTHER to WICKED CREEK. The move takes almost a week, during which time KOS slowly begins to lose corps.
The alliance leader demands 1 billion from every corp in the alliance to 'POS up' all 3 outpost systems in WICKED CREEK.
The trickle of Corps leaving KOS becomes a steady stream. Membership goes from 2460 to 1670 in less then 2 weeks.
Di-Tron sneaks it's freigther from Scalding pass to empire with a full load.
After suffering 17 billion ISK in losses among it's members and the corp proper and with a demand to pay a billion to the KOS leadership.
Di-Tron decides to move on instead of paying more ISK to an alliance that can't make the most basic defensive plans.
We fall to 98 members.
Month 9.
Di-Tron goes into recovery mode. A general 'calm' sweeps the corp as we begin to repair the damage that was done in the south.
Pilots plug in implants, begin to run missions, strip mine ENTIRE systems and take small breaks.
Di-Tron begins a heavy recruitment effort.
We seattle back into our pre-formation region of EVERYSHORE and lick our wounds.
Complex running in various regions around empire begins. The corp begins to make farm a drone complex for almost 150 million ISK a day.
BNT merger takes place.
After a few weeks, the decision is made to begin looking around for a new 0.0 alliance. Talks with almost every alliance in the game insue, the south and BoB being noteable exceptions to this rule.
The corp's morale begins to improve and things begin to improve for everyone.
The FLA alliance is decided upon, and logistics begin to work.
Di-Tron joins Free Lancer Alliance.
Within 2 days, 2 large heavily armed POS's are errected in E-FICO, the very northward tip of FLA territory.
Di-Tron settles in and begins doing what it does best.
Di-Tron obtains it's first capital ships in corp.
FLA shows it's might by destroying a Trim POS in Pureblind. Followed by 3 AXE POS's that also appear there later on.
We reach 118 members.
Month 10.
Finally back in 0.0 and without a major amount of enemies, Di-Tron begins making money. The members are happy, ratting and mining is very profitable.
Corp policies are looked at and changed in-depth. The corp begins to streamline many of it's operations and help it's members get what they need as fast as possible.
Members adjust to 0.0 living in a proper alliance.
BNT leaves Di-Tron for other pursuits.
Freelancer goes through a radical shift, the entire leadership is changed and everything is looked at. This is decided upon as things had ground to a halt in progression at the top.
The corp doesn't make many major moves but continues to make money and strengthen itself.
We reach 121 members.
Month 11.
The Freelancer alliance finishes it's re-organization. 90% of the past leadership steps down permantly, many deciding to 'move on' with their corps.
The alliance begins going through it's ranks, looking for spies, ISK farmers and inactives to kick out. The alliance takes on a leaner and meaner image.
The alliance promote both Banlish and Xenofur to offical 'Diplomats' for the alliance as part of this effort to unifiy the north and prepare for the rumored BoB invasion.
ASCN dies completely, making this re-organization a perfectly timed event for FLA's future.
Di-Tron begins training new leaders, preparing for more control being in more peoples hands. This is to make sure the corp, which has players in ALL time zones, can operate at all times.
-QI- and Di-Tron meet and begin forming a friendship, like minded pursuits, general attitudes and similar mindsets draw the corps towards a merger and formal talks slowly begin.
We reach 127 members.
Month 12.
The entire North begins to unify as BoB publically declares that "D2" is their next target.
Di-Tron begins preparing for an eventual war. The funds for ships, POS's and capitals now appear to be much more well thought out and are put to use.
After BoB's annoucement, un-surpirsingly pirate corps and merceneries begin to appear all over the north. The peace is shattered.
Burn Eden plants a POS right in the middle of Dek and begins attacking everyone they can. Freelancer learns some important lessons and changes tactics.
The entire corp slowly starts to realize that up in E-FIC0 the corp is cut off from the rest of the alliance, much of the alliance starts to not patrol the area and 3 out of the 4 other corps in the 'triangle' decide to pull back to the alliance outpost systems.
-QI- agrees to merge. Di-Tron welcomes them in as full brothers and sisters.
Trim decides to attack the outpost systems of FLA.
A BoB fleet that just 'happened' to be around the area is ambushed and smashed in Pure Blind by IRON Resident Corps and others in the area.
The corp realizies fully that staying in E-FIC0 could cost the alliance it's stations. The attacks on E-FIC0 and lack of other corps around seal the deal and Di-Tron begins to redeploy to 0-2.
The rumors of the BoB war continue to circulate. After being driven back before, Di-Tron knows it will survive and prepares itself and the alliance as a whole for a better defense.
The corp continues to be in high spirits and BoB isn't looked at as an unbeatable foe. They are shown to be players and a good defense is prepared for the FLA territories.
FLA continues to expand it's defenses by adding resident corps, along with strengthing the outpost systems.
We reach 147 members.
Happy Birthday Guys, it's been a privilage and an honor to be CEO of Di-Tron for a full year. I can't wait to see what happens in the next months and how the corp grows and expands.
And to think a year ago, we were 29 people that just thought mining kernite was the best thing in the game. We're just getting started.
Sincerly.
-Banlish

Happy Birthday Di-Tron Heavy Industries!
Continuing with the theme of last year, that many people seem to have really enjoyed and asked for more of. I'll add to it as well as give some general things about the corp that might help people jog their memory.
The year of 2007, was a year of true growth for DTHI. We were in FLA at the end of 06 and we were having some very obvious growing pains with the leadership. The year saw many developments both good and bad for the game. The entire north was swarmed, RSF was being driven back deeply into detriod and tenferis. BoB was using it's 5 titans to kill everything everywhere, and alliances were signing up in droves to be part of the GBC.
Now, some of these events might be a little 'off' in their exact months, but the general info will be there. My records are good, but not perfect so some errors will occur.
Month 13
2 Minutes to Midnight completes it's merger with DTHI and comes over completely, all members are given full rights.
The invasion of the North by the GBC is a fake, the real target was RSF. GBC fleets invade Tenerifis, Omist and Detroid. Roaming gangs, pirates, privateers (not the actual alliance corps hired to cause havoc) and mercs swarm into Wicked Creek, Scalding Pass, and Immensea.
The north thinks the worst is over and breaths a sigh of relief.
D2, Razor and trace elements of FLA, Tri, and the northern residents like Zenith Infinity invade Fountain to help take pressure off RSF.
DTHI completes it's move down to O-2, we begin importing large amounts of tech 2 items for sale.
Large mining around the FLA outposts by DTHI shows many alliance members that DTHI indeed does have a large member base.
FLA reacts badly when we put 5 POS's up in each outpost system and as a single corp alone have 40% of all the POS's in the outpost systems. Note this still didn't achieve 50% coverage per system but they complained anyway.
Bobby is named a head FC after showing obvious ability.
Sparta Alliance takes a station in Fountain.
Bobby helps NXT-level take out a POS in pure blind. The operation is easy and done quickly, the leadership complains because their massive operation they planned is for nothing.
FLA gets robbed blind by the ex capital production managers, and promptly begins recruiting.
The OXIDE corps of 3b-legio, Big-Guns, and Death Monkeys with knives are recruited into FLA. They take over the northern Triangle while DTHI secures the lower part of FLA's space.
Month 14
Members of 3B, BG, DMWK and DTHI begin forming friendships and commonality. Between the 4 corps, over 65% of the killboard results per month are posted. This is despite 40 other corps being in FLA.
FLA decides that the best way to combat the 'Great war' is to swell the alliance as much as possible.
More residents then ever before are brought in at prices of 10 mill per member. Somehow all of this isk never seems to appear anywhere yet the collections are over 4 billion a month.
The north makes rumblings that FLA's 4 pilots down south are not enough of an effort, the leadership does a lot of talking but nothing occurs.
Banlish decides that despite being only a diplomat with no FC skills, to lead an invasion of fountain to 'show FLA's muscle' she gathers all 3 former CHIMP corps, PJI, Grettistek and DTHI into a 6 corp strike force and leads them down to fountain to turn over to any FC that wants. Bobby, and other FC's from within the 6 corps take on FC roles here and there and we swarm around getting over 400 kills in less then 4 days.
The FLA leadership likes the results but complains that they weren't kept 'in the loop'. Banlish can't believe success is being argued with and says "k whatever" to the leadership.
YouWhat declares support for the Greater BoB Coaltion.
FLA leadership panics and orders all forces home to 'defend the north'
The fountain campaign is called off.
The southern campaign between GBC and RSF gets worse.
BoB makes a point of slugging it out for Omist, after claiming 2 stations, Goons give up Omist and retreat back into Tenerifis.
BoB declares this a massive victory and makes a public post about renting out Omist to interested parties.
A number of members are taken from other corps in FLA as their leaders do nothing and DTHI looks to be accomplishing more. Barqs, and Shiftless are two stand outs from this time.
Month 15
The leadership of FLA treads water again and again. They like to complain about anyone possible stepping out of line and squash all ability shown, so the entrenched leadership stays in power, despite nothing ever being accomplished.
The leadership of FLA camps a system in Dek 24/7 for almost 2 weeks straight. This doesn't do much but it shows some commitment.
Tri and FLA clash a few times. Every time FLA leadership decries the attacks as TRI working against the north. IRON and D2 ignore them as simple attacks.
YouWhat makes a few spoiling attacks against the north. Mostly northern residents are hit hardest, FLA having the most of it's members in the north still (mostly carebearing and farming) is hit as well.
Chorus of Dawn decides to merge into YouWhat.
Quietly and without much notice a vast majority of northern residents begin an exodus to the drone regions. This weakens the north but not much attention is paid.
FLA's leader is played like a fiddle by FotoFlame, leader of IRON. FLA's leader says FLA can field over 40 capitals and 200 tech 2 battleships and will take over YouWhat's space. The reward will be that FLA gets to keep all of Cloud Ring.
In a rush to prove FLA's ability the current president makes a post on CAOD about how FLA is coming. Everyone with an ounce of intelligence in FLA calls this a bad move.
TRI agrees to a nap with FLA, after being napped to most of the north for some time already.
TRI drops nap to the whole north two days later.
Bobby begins leading the entire campaign. He has the time, ability and experience to do so and directs fleets as well as POS attacks and setups in YouWhat space.
FLA's commitment to the campaign looks surprisingly like the fountain campaign that DTHI made a month earlier. The main corps that partake are Big Guns, 3B, DTHI, Grettistek, PJI, and DMWK. Their are trace elements of other FLA corps but no capitals besides the ones deployed by those 6.
The campaign is a clusterfuck, Bobby is hamstrung left and right by FLA leadership. Getting everything from multiple sets of orders to conflicting orders.
All that money that FLA's been gathering for months, the giant warchest, appears to be empty. A few billion are all that is available for the campaign.
2 of the 3 stations YouWhat controls are taken by FLA (mainly though bobby's leadership).
Evoke breaks off from D2 and forms, taking the EC station in lower pure blind as their own.
Month 16
The campaign to take Cloud Ring stales.
There isn't any money left to take the last station. FLA's warchest is completely empty. All the corps that took part are pretty bankrupt as no carebearing has happened in weeks.
The leadership comes to Banlish and says Bobby Atlas has to go.
Banlish responds with a 'um, no way.' and uses the work she's done for FLA to stop the effort. The matter is dropped.
The leadership begins an extensive effort to say who gets offices in cloud ring, moon scanning and everything else.
The campaign doesn't really move and everyone waits for leaderships plan to finish off XZH, a wall of silence is the only answer for over 10 days.
Mercenary Coalition nails P-2TTL in Pure Blind. The northern residents and a few scattered FLA are practically crushed in the first attack which reinforces all the towers in P-2TTL.
The entire northern attack on fountain is called off as MC and some other GBC members begin appearing in Pure Blind and other areas.
Pure Blind becomes a battlefield between D2 and it's allies and MC and it's allies.
FLA abandons Cloud ring completely and falls back to dek. Many corps have been bankrupted and can't even pay the alliance bill that month.
P-2TTL is taken by MC after a week long struggle with D2.
Xelas demands FLA let it pass to get into upper branch, FLA denies them and fights with them a few times. Xelas doesn't do much other than chestbeat.
FLA decides to host it's first ever alliance wide ops to gather supplies and capitals for the upcoming war. 2 dreads are earned after just 3 days.
The FLA leadership passes to Rev Darkwing after the current president is shown to have over-committed FLA. He leaves to rule of three in the drone lands.
Rev's first step as leader is to stop the operations that were getting us supplies and capitals, he thinks it isn't working.
FLA sees the first true cracks form. Over 50% of it's residents 'leave' the north and a number of corps begin to move assets out of FLA.
3B, DMWK, Big Guns, and Grettistek all leave FLA after being treated like crap by the leadership.
Fade becomes a war zone with MC, GBC and YouWhat attacking the various stations.
Attacks on O-2 and 3JN become more common. AXE, Xelas, Storm Armada, MC, YouWhat, and tons of pets begin visiting the stations daily.
During the middle of this, another wave of corps leave FLA. Respect for Rev is incredibly low and only the old leaders seem to like him.
Xeno and Banlish are thrown out of being diplomats by missing a meeting called 1 day before and with no other warning.
The defense of the outpost systems falls largely to DTHI who makes up over 60% of the gangs most of the time. Despite being under attack almost 23/7 most of the members think this is actually alot of fun.
XBG joins FLA, ACCRD joins FLA.
The attacks on FLA's space are being held off pretty much soley by bobby's efforts and DTHI members.
FLA's leadership decides that various plans of retreat to pure blind have to be looked at. Bobby says their plans aren't going to work. This angers Rev because he's drawn them up.
Sparta is given the upper Dek stations that were owned by D2.
Not used to being questioned Rev says to Banlish "Bobby Atlas has to go or you guys do, I'm sorry it's just that simple". Banlish responds with an "alright, give me some time".
Banlish goes to the directors and says flat out "They want Bobby gone, can we leave FLA rather then fight for people like this?". The result is 100% in favor of leaving FLA.
Banlish delivers the speech of "Bobby leaves or all of DTHI leaves". DTHI as a WHOLE picks Bobby over FLA and says we'll be leaving soon. This causes an uproar in FLA as the majority of the corps that are fighting know what Bobby has done, while the majority of the cronies around slinktress and Rev side with them.
Iron's space falls in 3 days as it is revealed that all stations were each being held by one small tower only and IRON had already pulled out. No one in the north had been told.
Month 17
DTHI moves over to Sparta from FLA. This is a move solely to get our assets out of Dek and the leadership of Sparta agrees. They try to get DTHI to stay on but DTHI leaders stall them as vast amounts of gear are moved back to empire.
Exactly 6 days after DTHI leaves FLA, the remaining station FLA owns is blitzed and taken.
Sparta declares themselves neutral in the northern war.
The southern fight between GBC and RSF grinds into a bloody stalemate in Tenerifis, though BoB does begin taking space ever so slowly.
D2 loses Fade completely, and begins falling apart in Branch.
Sparta quickly secures the two closest D2 stations for itself.
DTHI leaves Sparta a few weeks later, as DTHI views Sparta's 'turning neutral' as a betrayal of the north.
The north collapses after FLA and IRON are driven out. Sparta turns towards BoB and D2 begins a meltdown which leads to the disbanding of D2.
Branch is taken and large amount of GBC residents begin to take up space. Fallen Souls, Aftermath, Storm Armada, T1ts, Cult of War, Fatal, M.Pire and MC all take space.
DTHI takes it's first 'break' in almost a year, letting people breath easy, have no POS's to run, and no responsibilities for a change. Everyone in corp takes a few weeks off while Banlish begins looking around at alliance options.
Razor is blitzed by the northern GBC, all of it's stations are taken yet Razor says they will be back.
Month 18
Banlish and SolarKnight begin bringing up their long talks from KOS days when they thought about having their own alliance. Tthe talks quickly escalate.
Banlish puts the idea out the the directors of DTHI. After some thoughts the idea is given a postive note.
Banlish contacts Zephy and Kneto to start talking about the 'new alliance'.
3B is in the Free Trade Zone down south, taking all the free ore and bounties they can get for rebuilding purposes.
During this time Peoke contacts Banlish, talks from over a year ago between the two have lead to a sort of friendship. They begin to talk about DTHI's future.
Banlish presents the plan to Solar, Kneto, and Zephy. The DTHI leadership noticeably is cautious because SMASH-KILL is an unknown.
Talks with Peoke are turned over to Banlish, and the 87 region is decided upon to be given to the new alliance once it's formed.
The 'new alliance' decides upon the name of ATLAS as it's name, this is not influenced by Bobby Atlas who was away during this time. The name fits and is voted in.
Atlas forms offically.
Chaos Incarnate contacts Atlas and the two form a friendship. Molden Heath becomes the 'play ground' of this new alliance while talks with SmashKill continue.
A week after forming, Atlas begins shipping out to 87 to claim a constellation as its own and begins building up.
POS's are put in place and teamwork is practiced by the alliance. A few 'Alliance ops' are decided upon and conducted, many billion isk are pulled in from these ops and put into the alliance coffers towards an outpost.
Chaos Incarnate has talks with the RSF about taking space in Omist in exchange for basically being a meatshield. They decline and Atlas introduces them to Smash-Kill as a 4th partner.
The new patch is released bringing in invention and other mechanics.
Month 19
Artic Blue merges into DTHI, all members are FULLY welcomed and given full rights.
During the occupation of 87 region, the various alliances that were 'squatting' there are attacked. Frost alliance, Opus alliance and Fuzzy Nut attack squirrels are all driven out of 87.
The region becomes home and carebearing commences. A few PvP ops happen almost weekly against IC, Project Entrophy, and other various neutrals.
Chaos decides to move out entirely and put up an outpost.
Almost the next day, Pure says the outpost is in "their space" and demands it be turned over.
Chaos and Atlas say "um, we've been here a month wtf."
Pure says even to smash, that no matter what happens, they will be attacking that outpost.
Pure declares war and Chaos and Atlas move to defend what's theirs. Smash/Kill is stuck in a political limbo as it's blue allies are fighting.
The goons kill Shrike(sir molle) in his titan and pod the pilot. The new game mechanics make the game a more equal playing field.
Atlas leads the fight against Pure trying to take over Chaos' station. Numerous battles take place over a few weeks.
Pure jumps in it's capital fleet to 'scare' Atlas & Chaos to back off. Both alliances show their teeth and drop a fleet of 40 capitals on top of the Pure fleet as well as attacking a Pure POS.
This move throws Pure off a bit since both alliances were thought to be 'small fries'.
Bobby writes a series of posts on CAOD that are well written, un-biased and well received, respect for Atlas grows.
Sov 3 is about to tick in M5, Pure decides on a peace treaty and buys the outpost for 50% of it's value from Chaos.
All sides sign a nap and back off with a mutual respect for each other.
Month 19
Chaos and Atlas rebuild for a few weeks.
Smash-Kill tells Imperial Order to beef up it's defenses in the M-J station outpost they just put up. IO dithers and doesn't do anything.
Smash puts up the WNM outpost.
The RSF war against GBC turns. GBC is pushed out of Tenerifis and Detroid. Fighting begins in earnest for Omist.
In the north, T1Ts loses tenal to a massed invasion by MM, Razor, RK, Smash, Pure and other alliances. T1Ts disbands.
Razor reoccupies Tenal.
Imperial order (a FREGE resident) is told Again to put up defenses in MJ, they again talk a lot but do nothing.
FREGE and SmashKill skirmish here and there around the drone regions.
RK and Smash tell IO that enough is enough and say that they are taking the MJ outpost. They attack in force.
The Mad Pact declares this as a hostile invasion and attacks SmashKill. They attack Smashkill while blue.
Atlas, not being part of the Mad Pact sees it's allies attacked under blue standings, resets the alliances and attacks alongside Smash-Kill.
The fights for MJ begin to get crazy. The Mad Pact has over 10,000 members between all it's allies. Smash-Kill-Atlas have 3,400 at this point.
Smash-Kill-Atlas decide to attack anyway.
Month 20
The MAD pact brings in every ally it possibly can to turn the invasion away. Despite having a 5 to 1 advantage in numbers in some battles, the Mad Pact begins losing badly.
The MJ station is finally taken after a few weeks of heavy fighting. Smash, Roadkill and Atlas have a blast. Working together is a great time and pilots say so frequently.
The MJ attack video is released by a member of RK. It praises Atlas highly for being an equal member in the attacks on MJ.
The Mad Pact crumbles. Members get fed up with each other and go their own way.
Omist falls to RSF.

FREGE is attacked by Smash-Atlas, Chaos and Roadkill. the term "S.A.C.K." is coined for the coaltion for the first time.
A number of alliances join the SACK pact, most are small scale but begin to grow. Fang, Semptemius, Rare Faction, and others are brought in.
FREGE makes the biggest mistake of all time. They pull down a POS while having the cyno-jammer for their systems offline.

Sparta disbands 4 days after their announcement, DTHI has a good laugh.
Tri consolidates Dek, brings in 2 friendly alliances and goes back to PvPing.
DTHI grows even more in members. The comment of looking in our POS hangers and seeing "all tech 2 ships except battleships" makes many of the members laugh.

Month 23
IRON and Invictus decide to merge.
Atlas stockpiles a large amount of supplies in MJ.
Oxide's space is deemed 'our new home' and we attack. Smash, Roadkill and Chaos lend support but Atlas leads the charge for their new home.
After a little under 27 hours OXIDE surrenders.
Banlish and Barqs have the honor of accepting the OXIDE surrender for DTHI and Atlas.
The quickness of the surrender of OXIDE leaves all of ATLAS with a 'unsatisfied' taste, attacks on Intrepid Crossing, XdeathX and Etheral Dawn are stepped up for 'pew pew fun'.

There you go guys, it's been another full year. The corp has grown solidly and has had over 90%+ retention of members (that are still in EVE). It's been one HELL of a ride and I can't wait to see what we're going to do in the next year. I've never had more fun then when I've been part of this corp, we have a diverse mix of people, we DON'T have any favoritism and we are one of the best corps for teamwork I've ever heard of.
Over the next year we have a lot of goals we want to accomplish, as a corp and as the alliance. Atlas is our home, our actions show that over and over, our dedication of our members in defending her and furthering her interests is plain to see by all.
We've lead the Atlas killboards since the day the alliance was formed and we show no signs of letting up. Even some of our oldest members are PvPing now, Brazz, Alezra, Tron, Vlad, and even myself have put away our barges and haulers and switched out to our hac's and Battleships. It's really amazing to watch.
To our directors: Maybe you don't hear it enough, or maybe you don't know. But this corp would be nothing without you, I choose our leadership structure to be wider at the top for a reason and you've NEVER once disappointed me. You go above and beyond the call of duty so many time, the members might not see everything you do but I know if they did they'd thank you for it. The corp runs smoothly, the alliance never has to ask us to 'pull our weight' if anything they see us performing like 2 or 3 corps worth of work. Because of our mass of directors our leadership is tapped again and again to help lead the alliance and be one of it's best founders. I don't want to say were better then anyone in Atlas, but I love the corp and love what everyone here has done for it. So for every single director past, present and future, thank you. You've made this corp what it is, time and time again.
To our members: What can I say, without you were are nothing. Without your tireless efforts to kill people, shoot roids, build yourselves up, work as a team and lead by example, this corp wouldn't exist and be the powerhouse it is today. We are looked at by almost sheer AWE by other corps in the ease of which we do things, from how many members we mobilize for a mining op, to the killboards where our pilots post half a dozen kills or more almost daily. Just like the directors it's almost impossible to thank you enough for being such great people. Where else can we laugh, have a good time, be serious when needed, joke around too much, and yet STILL at the end of the day, be one of the best corps in EVE. I know their isn't a way to track it, but there are literally thousands of corps in EVE. We ARE in the top 1% of corps in size, and I FULLY believe we are the best corp when it comes as a place to be and have fun.
I give thanks to each and EVERY one of you for making this corp what it is today, we've gone two full YEARS as a group of friends and no matter how many times we get bigger we are going to keep it that way. We've never had a leadership that forces it's members to do anything as slaves and we never will. We love it as much as anyone and I can't wait to see what we accomplish in the coming year.
To members new and old, you are part of one of the best corps in the game. YOU have helped make this place what it is, and YOU are the ones that will make it a legend as time grows on.
Thank you so very much for letting me be the conductor on this train
Sincerely,
Banlish
