A Kaiser Chiefs’ concert planned for May 24 has been under some doubts lately. Structural inefficiencies plus difficulties were had with finalizing a proper emergency evacuation plan. The main thing here is that every single person involved with getting a gig ready should make sure the venue itself is secure and has every document it needs, then the management should be ready to continue and keep in contact with the artist’s tour management.
Kelly Clarkson’s Scary Concert Incident by Perez Hilton Dec 16, 2007

A seemingly benign and harmless incident occurred at a Kelly Clarkson concert when an amorous fan decided to put his heart’s will first and run onto the stage and give her a kiss on the cheek. The fan was escorted off and Kelly simply laughed it off, but this goes to show how easy it can be sometimes for fans to make it past security and come into uncomfortable close contact with their idols. For a lot of big name artists, security is key in keeping the environment safe for both the artist and audience.

Cnn Video - Hannah Montana Gift Jan 10, 2008

Astoundingly, a 5 year-old girl decided to donate her Hannah Montana tickets to her classmate who was in and out of the hospital, and made the national news. After the incident with the Dallas mother writing up a fake story about her daughter’s father’s death in Iraq to win tour tickets, this was a big pick-up for concertgoers. It’s amazing how insanely popular a tour is to generate a national media buzz over simply a kind gift from one friend to another.
Cnn – Hannah Montana body double – msnbc.om music – by associated press Jan 11, 2008

Many fans were shocked when seeing the Youtube video of Cyrus’s body double, but in the context of the event it was designed so that Miley Cyrus had enough time to go backstage and change her costume for the next song. The body double did not perform any singing or lipsynching, and merely took her place as a dancing double. When being the star of a sold out tour, it’s hard to maintain the entire show, and some cuts around the corners have to be made.
Lil Wayne Formally Charged, Late for Concert by Mark Spitz

Being a celebrity doesn’t always mean you have preferential treatment. As his drug and weapons charges added up, he was also late to his concert due to a plane delay. He managed to get to his show and performed a few songs. When artists lead a dangerous life outside their careers, it definitely interferes with their work. Sometimes it’ll interfere so much that you could be delayed to your own concerts or have them cancelled to appear in court.
