Tim Hortons Timbits minor sports program
The Timbits minor sports program is a great way for kids to gain experience in sports, as well as make new friends and have fun. Sponsored by Tim Hortons, the Timbits sports program is doing very well in Canadian towns where the help of volunteers keep the program alive in their respective communities.
The program is run by the many volunteers who give their time to help the children in the program enjoy themselves. Without their help, the program would not be able to run. Many of the people involved help coach the sport teams, and so they allow non-competitive leagues to form. The coaches also help the children learn the skills required to play their sport, as well as the skills which help them make new friends and have fun while playing the sports. Tim Hortons also helps by setting up the leagues and scheduling games. They also supply jerseys and set up large tournament style events.
To be a coach or manager of a team, you need to have the required skills of that sport so that you can teach them to the kids. So also need to have a love of the sport that you want to pass down, so that the participants have fun and learn something at the same time. All of the volunteers need to work together as a team so that the organizations can come together. When all the coaches and managers form successful teams, then the leagues will be a success as well.
One of my interests includes sports. I could become a volunteer and help form a hockey team because I have many of the skills that are required to become a coach. As I said, you should also enjoy the game that you are teaching, and hockey is my favorite sport. The only problem is that I am currently not old enough help with any minor sport teams yet, but when Im older I am going to consider volunteering my time to help in minor hockey or another sport.
