Everything about it is utterly lifeless.
The production is flat and "clean"--so clean that you can't even tell that the lack of emotion is due to the super sterile production or the identical ultra-technical wankery excuses for riffs.
There's no sense to any of the composition, as riffs and solos are just tossed haphazardly into a maelstrom of technicality and nonsense.
The same was the case with Onset of Putrefaction (take a listen to Fermented Offal Discharge and try to tell me there's a transition between the bridge and the solo), but Epitaph has it much worse, largely because there aren't even any worthwhile riffs or solos to transition to and from.
