I just bought a new cpu, an amd 4200+ x2 to replace my old 3500+ single core. The new cpu is reporting temperatures of 50 degrees Celcius when idling and up to 80 degrees at load. I've tried reattching the heatsink several times using 3 differant thermal pastes. I've also tried reinstalling the old processor which reports reasonable temperatures. The wierd thing though is that the heatsink isn't that warm when I touch it. Would anyone have any idea what the problem is and how to fix it?
