Conceptually, I have imagined a furry network as being a valley, a few hundred miles long, from the ocean to the mountains. You can go boating at one end or swim with the orcas at one end and hike with mountain goats at the other end.
A river meanders through it, fed by brooks and streams. There are many lakes both large and small, suitable for boating or fishing, or seculded picnics.
The actual channels, in my concept, are domes about 100 meters across that have plenty of space for what ever anyone could want. Pool tables, music rooms, saunas, laboratories, fire places, foosball tables etc.
