People often forget that college is, in a way, the beginning of their lives. It is only after you have completed your education that you truly start to live. College may seem insignificant when compared to the overall picture of my life because it only lasts for four years. However, I know that I college will bring many experiences that will help me mature and develop as a person. Gaining admission at an institution such as NYIT is very important to me. I know I have to go somewhere I can receive a good education and prepare myself for what comes after college. The knowledge and lessons gained while at NYIT will stay with me forever, and help me achieve my dreams and goals in life. An education at NYIT is essential for allowing me to pursue my career goals and make my dreams a reality. Attending NYIT will greatly increase my chances of becoming a medical doctor, my biggest goal in life right now. I decided I wanted to be a doctor several years ago and I know gaining admission into the BS/DO program at NYIT will help make it easier for me to achieve my dream. After I become a doctor and earning enough money, I want to accomplish some other things dreams and give back to the community. First, I want to set up scholarships for students at NYIT who are also pursuing medical careers in the future. I also want to donate money to the hospital where I volunteered while in high school. In addition, I hope to one day set up free health clinics in India, where my family is from, so that people who desperately need medical attention but cannot afford it can receive healthcare.
