when the complex number project was first posted
it descibed how he wanted the complex class written
then the last line was "In addition you must write a 15 page paper comparing and contrasting the C++ and Java ways of implementing such a class"
I totally freaked out when I saw that, but I figured it was a joke. At least I hoped it was."
then when I got to class I asked him
"Dude, is the final project for real?"
he said "Uh, yes?"
I was like "... Fifteen pages?!"
And he said "Oh, no. See the way it works is, you see the project on the web site, then you come to class and I tell you that it was a typo and it was supposed to be a 1.5 page paper. But everyone who doesn't come to class runs around like a chicken with their head cut off trying to write a 15 page paper on the last week of classes. Of course, this only works if you don't tell anyone! If you have any friends that don't come to class, be all like 'oh man this FIFTEEN PAGE PAPER is killing me!'"
