8.5 Registers Description - PCI Bridge
In order to map accesses a PCI agent performs to a certain address space of the bridge to a defined address
region in FPI address space a programmable address map is provided by the PCI Address Map xy Registers. The
address of a PCI transaction directed to the BAR y of Function x will be translated using the content of the PCI
Address Map xy Register in order to build the final FPI address.
Example: BAR 1 of Function 1 is configured to cover an address space of 1 Mbyte. No matter where this address
space is situated form PCI point of view the corresponding FPI address region has to start at address D8B00000H
and ends at address D8BFFFFFH. The PCI Address Map 11 Register has to be programmed D8B00000H. In order
to build the final FPI address bits 31. 20 of the PCI address will be replaced with bits 31. 20 of the PCI Address
Map 11 Register.
