Job Description This classification is responsible for assisting in the protection of UAB University/Hospital information that is generated, stored and transmitted electronically. This position will assist in the implementation of the UAB University/Hospital information security programs as well as assess security risks and threats to UAB’s information systems. This position will commit to fostering an environment of heightened security following IT Security Policies and participating in security training, such as HIPAA and FERPA, on an annual basis. Lastly, will assist in the development, administration and coordination of programs and procedures to ensure compliance with government, university/hospital and other regulatory policies. (Annual Salary Range: $59,328 - $76,632 - $91,464)

Minimum Qualifications This position requires an undergraduate degree in a technical, IT or related field. Requires 5 years experience relevant to information security to include IT policy development and implementation (preferably in a complex, multi-platform, higher education IT environment).
