I have a little girl that I need to find another home for. I got
Sadie from another freecycler who was worried she would go to a good
home, and while I do believe that this is a good home, I don't know
that we made the connection we should have. Sadie likes to play and
likes lots of attention. If I remember correctly the family had
spoiled her - she loves playing with her toys (oddly enough a knotted
sock is her favorite), she plays fetch and loves to nestle in a lap.
The family had several children a year apart from each other and
Sadie became 'jealous' for lack of a better word and began spotting
when Mom would pick up the baby.
I thought Sadie were a good match at first - she gets along great
with my other dog. After the first 3 days, I didn't have any spotting
for over 2 months, until I took my first trip - she would spot for
days after my sister watched her, it wasn't until later that my
sister found out she was pregnant and that we put 2 and 2 together.
The spotting also continues to be bad after my nieces and nephews
visit - they are very good with her, and do not overwhelm her, but
she makes her feelings known for days after the children leave.
I believe that I am looking for a person, couple or whatever that
does not have children around. She is good with them, but for some
reason, I believe that there is just some jealousy that she does not
like them coming around. Before I realized what was the triggering
factor (my nieces and nephews coming around) I tried so many things
to pro-actively prevent this, sometimes they were successful,
sometimes they weren't. I believe that Sadie is a very good job and
in total control - she has proven that on several occasions.
Sadie is about 2.5 years old. I will take names until Wednesday or
Thursday and ideally I would like to find her a new home by this
weekend. Please send me a bit of information about yourself and why
you would like Sadie to join you in your home to help me in making my
decision.
thank you,
bill
