Intrinsics:
Power Attack (Identified, Sword Skill)
You can add up to 3 points of Damage to an attack, but it degrades your weapon quickly (1 point of wear for each point of damage add). Swords only.
Lucky (Unidentified)
Loresearcher (Identified)
Allows the character to identify magic items of a non-violent nature, and read spell scrolls (albeit not learning the spells; that ability must
be aqcuired through a Tome of Knowledge or surviving long enough into the game.) to produce their effects.
Instead of rolls, the guessing game is made; 3 tries is standard, and the closer you are for each one, the better the result. For example,
if 2 tries are allowed and the guesses are 6 and 5, then you take no damage; if they're 6 and 10, you take 2 HP of damage.
Action points can be added to any result to make it better.
SPECIAL: Items such as this Dark Axe are special. Usually very powerful and light, as well as durable, they are often living, and must be fought beforehand. Though this one has no magical qualities, some, such as Fire Swords, do.
"I'm done fighting in the army, but I have made a decision. I don't doubt there are other people in this mansion; I've seen them. After that poison, I doubt I'm fit to fight, other than to look after others. Here's the deal; I issue supplies and trade with you in order to build them up; and the ones capable of fighting will follow you. Stay in a small group, just to be safe; the rest of us'll set up camp in the lobby. Whaddya think?"
