This is what I want:
We have multiple machines running apache/ftp/misc other web services. Each one of these boxes has a backend and front end ip to the SAN/NAS solution as this Celeros can do BOTH.
What I am looking to accomplish is using NFS mount the shares to these boxes and have some sort of universal ftp for clients to access their data. I want to accomplish this without an LDAP server, as we dont have an extra server for redundancy. Clients will ftp in from outside and changes their files. The san has the ability to allow people to ftp into it. That is one option allowed to us, but I have a feeling permissions would be a nightmare to manage. The second solution would be to create the accounts locally on the servers the clients need access to and then have them ftp to the individual servers their data resides on to make changes, upload, etc.,
This NAS/SAN can also do ISCSI but i dont think that solution quite fits into what i am trying to accomplish.
I hope this is more explainatory than my original questions.
