Dear all,
I'd like to apologise sincerely for failing to deliver Thursday's lecture on
reading fiction. A simple explanation: I entered the date incorrectly
in my diary -- I was expecting to deliver it on Friday morning. If it is any
consolation, I was gainfully employed elsewhere on a university
committee when I was scheduled to present the lecture. By way of
compensation, the note form of my lecture is available on WebCT, and I am
happy of course to talk to anybody who has any questions arising from it You
will, necessarily, find it 'skeletal': oral delivery would have
enabled much more expansiveness. Many of the ideas can be found in my book
on the novel (2000) which is on the brief reading list.
Once again, sorry for wasting the time of those who attended.
best wishes
Professor David Amigoni
