1.Based on the hero’s first story, what do you think is motivating him? Is his motivation related most to individual or collective responsibility? Why?

He is motivated by a since of patriotism, loyalty for his kingdom, collectively, putting kingdom before hisself.

2.What might the hundreds of king’s advisors and warriors’ represent? Why do they speak all at once?

I think the advisors represent the logical part of the kings mind, and they speak at once representing that side of his mind's power.

3. Why is the warrior wearing black? What does this represent? What does the color have o do with his persona?

Black represents calm, shadow like stealth, the opposite of purity, often misunderstood,

4.How are music and martial arts similar, according to the warrior? How are calligraphy and martial arts similar?

Music and martial arts are similiar because they each take an ability to be able to move a certain way and have perfect timing. Calligraphy and martial arts are similiar because they each take an indepth knowledge of how to perform each one properly.

5.What might the colors in each story symbolize? What emotions are driving the characters wearing these colors?

The colors symbolize a wide fray of emotions. The emotions driving the characters are lust, greed, anger, and revenge to name a few.

6.In the last story is individual responsibility or collective motivating Broken Sword? Why? What about Snow? Why?

Individual responsibility is motivating both Broken Sword and Snow. Because they both know what they must each do.

7. What path (which character’s path) would you choose and why?

I would chose Hero's path because I can relate to him, the misunderstood activist, the social outcast who stays to the shadows making points and changing lives, that don't even realize they've been changed.
