(After seeing the dead BODIES, the heroes return to Overmoss. At one point, they all look in different directions. Laurel senses something and runs off to the North. The camera follows her and she eventually runs into Rana)
Laurel: *gasp* You!
Rana: Wha? What are you doing here?!
(Laurel is quiet. Rana realizes what’s happening)
Rana: No! Stay out of my head!
(She casts a spell and is surrounded by some sort of barrier.)
Laurel: Arrgh!!
(The other three emerge)
Stoic: Rana?
Baron: No way.
(pause)
Rana: The last time I saw you…was in Rellenia…except you were with..
(pause)
Rana: …it can’t be.
Shroud: Just hold it right there, Rana! You’ve got a lot to answer for.
Rana: Get away from me! All of you just leave me alone!
(She runs off)
Baron: We gotta stop her!
(But before they can, the undead tiger attacks! After the fight…)
Shroud: Damn it! She’s way into the mountains by now.
Baron: You okay, Laurel? You look sick or something.
Laurel: I’m fine….she just used a technique to protect her mind from my telepathic powers. It’s a pretty basic dark magic spell…I had just never experienced it before…it’s quite painful, but I suspect it will pass.
Shroud: I never expected to see her here…though I don’t think she’s alone. As shady as she is, I doubt she’s capable of this. Someone else is pulling the strings.
Stoic: …I agree. She is an apprentice, after all. Her master must be the necromancer who is responsible for the murders here.
(pause)
Laurel: My skills are returning to me…and I sense something terrible in the direction that she ran…something almost…not human.
Stoic: …I’ll bet you do, but we have to follow her. If we don’t stop this necromancer now, he’ll raise the people here as skeletons and use them to do this same thing to Undermoss!
Shroud: By Arcadius…and then he’ll move on to other towns.
Baron: Man, this is some scary stuff.
Stoic: This is a classic necromancer’s campaign. Whoever is behind this certainly has a fondness for tradition.
Shroud: It’s a tradition Solest can do without. Let’s go.
