The Order of the Dark Dragoon
The Dragoon Code
1. Introduction
2. The Dark Dragoons
The Dark Dragoons are a force unlike any seen before in our world. They are frigid and cannot be negotiated with. Through suffering and anguish they seek only to serve themselves and to have others do the same. While an alliance between those of similar moral adversity, they are still a unit of trust and loyality to their own cause. The Dark Dragoons neutrality is a gray blur in a world of black and white offering advice and assistance to those that the Dark Dragoon can benefit from.
1.Dark Dragoons commit themselves Dark Dragon Spirit. The Dark Dragon Spirit gives the Dark Dragoons the ability to be unrelentless and unfavorable. A Dark Dragoon causes pain to restore power to the Dark Dragon Spirit. A Dark Dragoon exhausts all his resources to the task of becomming greater than the Dark Dragon Spirit.
2. The Dark Dragon Knight is the leader and proprietor of the Dark Dragoons. Assistance or advice from the Dark Dragoons is filtered through the Dark Dragoon in order to ensure that defection or betrayal be not a fear of the Dark Dragoons. Dark Dragoons seeking further strength and power would speak to the Dark Dragon Knight in order to recieve a gift from the Dark Dragon Spirit.
3.The Dark Dragoons have always shown a number of qualities that set them apart from other groups and forces, alike.
a) Domination - It is the energy that drives the Dark Dragoons, to dominate over those weaker and less fortunate. Those who set themselves in the path of the Dark Dragoons face only the fate of kindling to the fire. Unrelentless and unwaivering, the urge to dominate is extrodinarily prominent in the Dark Dragoons.
b) Self-Righteousness - Much like a Dragoon, Dark Dragoon constantly improves himself to increase his dominance over other beings. Danger and Risk are set aside if it is for the benefit of the Dark Dragoon(s).
c) Criticism/comments - At any point, it is important to examine and analyze the flaws of each member of the Dark Dragoon. Each being is responsible for himself or herself, in order to be a feared force. An inability for a group of this nature to turn a blind eye to one's weaknesses would be certain weaknesses in the force itself.
d) Neutrality - The Dark Dragoons express their neutrality by offering their advice and assistance to nations and groups that would, in return, benefit the Dark Dragoons as a whole. If employed, be it for advice or assistance, and a party is unable to reward the Dark Dragoons in anyway, enslavement of that party's people would be a solid guarantee.
e)Rationale - A Dragoon shall not act without thuroughly considering all possible courses of action. One must observe in all matters a sense of distance from a matter, so that the most logical and neutral path may be taken, and that one will not act incorrectly because of extreme emotion.
4. If a Dragoon strays from the path of the Dragon Spirit, the primary objective of the brotherhood in dealing with the matter shall be to return them to the order. Direct combat should be avoided if at all possible. If it becomes obvious that a former Dragoon has abandoned completely the Dragon Spirit and in this becomes dangerous or a direct enemy of the Dragoons, they may be handled at the discretion of the brotherhood as a whole.
On becoming a Dragoon
The Brotherhood opens its arms to all who wish to become one with the Dragon Spirit. Through rigorous training and meditation, one can adopt the techniques and customs of the Draconians and unlock a part of their potential they may not have been aware of.
a) A Dragoon must begin as a Squire to another Dragoon. A Dragoon may choose one Squire to devote themselves to. When one chooses a Squire, the other Dragoons must be notified. If there is an argument over a choice of a Squire, a meeting will be held to discuss them. If the candidate is found untrustworthy, he may be released from Squireship.
b) A Squire shall do as their master tells them to. They shall question only in curiosity, and never with the intention of causing trouble.
c) A distinction must be made between Draconian and non-Draconian Squires. A non- Draconian's goal in becoming a Dragoon is to adopt their culture and traditions. As part of their training, a squire will learn Dragoonian fighting styles. However, a non-Draconian will find it much more difficult to connect with the Dragon Spirit, and his or her abilities will not be as those of the Draconians.
d) A Squire, near the end of their training, will need to master the ultimate techniques of the Dragoons. Because they utilize the natural anatomy of Dragoons, non-Draconians can only achieve them by their connection with the Dragon Spirit. Because of this, they cannot fully utilize the abilities as the Draconians can. The three abilities required of all full Dragoons are as follows:
Dragoon Jump: By using their powerful legs, the Draconians can achieve an amazing jump, ranging anywhere from 10 to 40 feet high, almost as a Dragon taking flight. Non-Draconians as well use leg strength to accomplish this, much of a squire's training spent on increasing it. However, the true power behind their jump is a desire to, above all, reach the Dragon Spirit and become one. Through this, one can propel themself into the air, reaching, on average, about half the hight of a Draconian.
Dragoon Dash: This technique is very similar to the Dragoon Jump, but in a forward motion. This requires a larger space to be covered, and is not as versatile. However, unlike a normal charge, a Dragoon can regain their footing quickly, making it a much less wild tactic. This is best used in conjunction with a spear.
Dragoon Link: Draconians have a natural telepathy that can be formed between those who become close enough to each other. This is imparted onto non-human Dragoons as well. As long as one remains in the brotherhood, they can communicate with other nearby Dragoons using this. The Dragon Knight posesses a greater ability, and can open his thoughts to multiple Dragoons at once.
