Ewan woke up ready for the first day of school in his small town in Kansas. He

got dressed like every other morning and walked to his new Junior year in high school.

He walked inside and saw the most beautiful girl he's ever laid his eyes on. He

walked up to her and tried his best line.
"Excuse me, Angel. Are you lost? Heaven is a long way from here." Ewan said.
"I'm not, but you better get lost, creep," the new girl said.
Ewan backed up and walked away, baffled at why this girl wasn't intrested in

him. He knew he was good looking, and he was a funny guy. What was this girl's issue?
"You look baffled...maybe if you weren't such a conceited ass you could get my

number. By the way, I'm Catherine, not angel." At this, Catherine walked away, with a

swagger that set the boy on fire. The rest of the week went uneventful. He had no

classes with Catherine but he saw her everyday in the halls; he couldn't ignore that

she was ignoring him. He had to do something.
Later that week, Ewan followed Catherine home, unnoticed of course. He knew

what he had to do. That night he appeared at her window at sunset, with his guitar and

a single rose. He threw pebbles at her window until she stepped out. He sang to her a

song he had written.
"Wow, that was lovely, maybe I should have second thoughts about you...what's

your name?"
	"I'm Ewan."
"Well then, Ewan, goodnight." Ewan walked away, clearly thinking that he would

have gotten more of a reaction. The next day Ewan walked into school and went up to

Catherine.
"Hey I know I don't know you too well, but I would really be honored if you

would let me take you out to a movie and talk."
"Now you're getting the hang of it Ewan, meet me at the cinema tomorrow at 6,

let's see Saw."
The next two days past by very quickly and Ewan got spiffed up for his date.

It was a rainy night. There were clouds forming into thunderstorms and lightning all

over. When Ewan got to the movies he waited until 6:30 and no Catherine.
"God, where is she. She must've been stuck in traffic because of the storm."

Ewan thought. After an hour though, Ewan left. He knew he was just stood up. He went

home feeling like a total loser.
The next day he went looking for Catherine to talk to her. She wasn't in

school. He waited two more days and he couldn't find her.
"Ewan Henry, please report to the office," the loudspeaker rang. Ewan hurried

along to the office and took a seat. He walked inside the principle's area and noticed

two husky men in uniform next to him.
"Son, you're going to have to go with them. They need to talk to you. You

were the last person Catherine was going to see."
	"I didn't do anything!"
"Tell it to the boss," the two men said. They took away Ewan and he arrived in

a small white room with no pictures on the wall. The only thing was a large one way

mirror.
