Conception
In the Event "Lauffeuer der Revolution" (wildfire of the revolution), which takes place at the Historiale 2008 - .160 Jahre märzrevolution., young European people are going to perform a youth congress.
Most remarkable/important nations of the revolution were France, Poland, Austria, Hungary as well as Italy.
From these countries we are inviting a delegation to the rooms (?) of the German representation of the EU-commission to talk one day about their experiences of the "Märzrevolution".
What were the requests? Which of these have been accomplished? What fundamentals of todays life have been laid then.
Besides a presentation/lecture each delegation is going to held presentations about topics like civil rights and freedom of press.
At a "get-together" evening the young people are exchanging culinary specialities of their home countries and are getting to know each other better.

Simultaneously a group of 80 young Germans (five per federal state), are forming the "Parliament of the St. Paul's Church (Paulskirchenparlament)", both groups are going to participate together in many activities.

Europe is getting closer, but unfortunately often only economical. We bring the youth together, the political and social interested, the "creators" of tomorrow.

This program stands out because of the active combination of history and present as well as following things:

Communicating democracy: 25 young persons, 5 each country, form the congress.
Solving problems together: Historical questions are being seized and newly discussed.
Get-together: an attractive supporting program including various activities brings the teenagers together.
Ambience: The German representation of the EU-commission.
Exciting speeches: Speeches of youth interested in politics.

Regarding the content, the event itself is supervised by experienced historians, as well by IPA (Institute für prospektive Analysen e.V.) regarding organizational issues.

Course (Ablauf)
